Three Days in Park City: What We Heard at the Energy Frontier Summit
This summer, we gathered 110 energy and infrastructure market leaders in Park City for three days of discussion and connection at the 2026 Energy Frontier Summit.
Here are a few themes that stayed with us:
Power demand is creating opportunity across the energy ecosystem
The opportunity is broader than any single source of load growth. AI and data centers, certainly, but industrialization, manufacturing and electrification are also reshaping expectations for power demand and creating opportunities across generation, storage, transmission and other critical infrastructure.
In focus is what it will take to translate that demand into projects: access to power, interconnection, permitting, equipment, capital and ultimately the ability to build on the timelines customers need.
The energy mix is expanding beyond traditional renewable generation
Solar, storage and wind remain important. Growing demand is also driving interest in natural gas, nuclear, distributed generation, powered land and other infrastructure.
The goal is optimizing how these resources fit together. Supporting significant load growth will require the right mix of resources and capital to deliver reliable power at scale and on time.
Capital continues to adapt alongside the market
Development facilities, construction warehouses, equipment financing, hybrid tax equity and other private capital solutions are giving sponsors more options across the project lifecycle. Lenders are also expanding the range of development risks they are prepared to understand and underwrite.
The result is a deeper financing toolkit with greater flexibility to match the right capital and structure to each stage of a project.
Quality and execution continue to matter
Across M&A, appetite for energy infrastructure investment remains strong, although buyers are increasingly selective. Operating and construction-stage assets continue to attract strong interest, while development opportunities are being evaluated more closely around project quality, team strength and the ability to execute.
Relationships matter most of all
Bringing together different perspectives from across the market helps us see opportunities from all sides and develop more thoughtful, creative solutions for our clients.
If we can help you evaluate an opportunity, navigate a financing or think through your next strategic move, we welcome the conversation.
